Whoever made this app did a good job but since i am on a phone (6s not sure if that makes a difference.) and since i am on a phone its small. Ok so i give it a 3 because i am a phone user not an ipad of tablet user. The app shouldn’t let me play a C7 on the electric bass that’s just silly. Minor complaint: Some of the alternative instruments don’t sound at all like the real thing, or if they do, then only in a very narrow pitch range (Harp sounds ok up to F5, then changes abruptly at G5). It would have to be based on the size of the detected touch (if you press harder, your finger spreads out more and contacts a larger portion of the screen), and I don’t know if there is an API for that. I’m sure that’s harder to do, especially now that Force Touch is gone - maybe even impossible. Furthermore, you can’t hold a finger down on a key while dragging the slider to play a multi-octave gliss.įeature request: I wish the app could detect how hard I tap the keys and vary the volume accordingly. Question: what does “Use Gravity” in the settings do? I don’t detect any difference with it on and off.īug: if you slide your finger across the keyboard to play a gliss while also dragging the position slider between the low octaves and high octaves, some keys stay gray as if you’re still playing them.
